It was an eventful
evening for Wayne Rooney. He could have scored, he could have been sent off and
somehow he was named man-of-the-match. But now he faces the biggest challenge
of his career.
When Roy Hodgson made
him England captain 18 months ago, we all thought Rooney was
indespensible.
I’m a big believer in
having experienced senior players in your team but if his form carries on like
this, Hodgson will have a very tough decision to make when Euro 2016 comes
around.
